TÜSKA Surveyors Have Participated in an International Webinar Focusing on Person-Centred Care and the Co-production Approach
The “7th International Patient-Centered Care Institute (PCCI) Webinar,” organized in collaboration with KARS (Indonesian Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals), the Patient-Centered Care Institute (PCCI), and the Asian Society for Quality in Health Care (ASQua), was held online with international participation.
The webinar, titled “Tips & Tricks to Enhance Patient-Centered Care in Your Hospital,” addressed current approaches, practical applications, and quality improvement methods aimed at strengthening person-centred care in healthcare services.
Dr. John Brennan and Dr. Hanny Ronosulistyo participated as speakers. The presentations covered the core principles of person-centred care, the concept of co-production, and the integration of these approaches into clinical practice.
During the webinar, it was emphasized that:
- Person-centred care is directly associated not only with patient experience but also with clinical outcomes and patient safety,
- The co-production approach positions patients and healthcare professionals as equal partners,
- Patient-reported measures such as PREMs (Patient-Reported Experience Measures) and PROMs (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures) play a critical role in quality improvement processes.
In addition, it was highlighted that strong team culture, trust, and effective communication among healthcare professionals are essential for the sustainability of person-centred care. Strengthening shared decision-making mechanisms in clinical processes and increasing patient participation were noted as key factors in improving service quality and health outcomes.
The practical examples shared during the webinar demonstrated that person-centred care is not merely a theoretical concept, but an approach that can deliver tangible and measurable results through effective communication, appropriate measurement tools, and team collaboration. TÜSKA surveyors actively participated in the webinar, contributing to international exchange of knowledge and experience.
The event concluded with strong international participation and served as an important platform for sharing best practices and strengthening global collaboration in improving the quality of healthcare services.
