Accreditation Standards Development and Monitoring Unit

The Accreditation Standards Development and Monitoring Unit is responsible for planning measures to promote the implementation of clear, measurable, and applicable sets of standards developed in line with internationally recognized principles and predefined quality objectives for healthcare services provided to the designated target groups within the scope of the national and international accreditation programmes conducted by the Institute. The responsibilities of the Unit are as follows:

• To manage the standards development processes within the Institute and the ISQua accreditation processes related to the Healthcare Accreditation Standards, in coordination with the relevant units of the Institute.
• To identify and prepare guidelines and other supporting documents to facilitate users’ understanding and implementation of the standards.
• To monitor national and international developments related to accreditation standards and, where necessary, collaborate with the Scientific Committees to ensure that such developments are reflected in the standards.
• To report feedback received regarding other standards in the fields of quality and accreditation in healthcare and social services, together with identified revision requirements, in line with national needs, priorities, and international developments, in order to support the Ministry by providing scientific input.
• To contribute to the Commission established by the Presidency of the Institute regarding programmes promoting healthy living in areas outside healthcare services.
• To plan activities related to the preparation and publication of books, manuals, publications, and other materials required within the scope of the standards.
• To implement the decisions referred to the Unit by the President of the Institute, based on the opinions, recommendations, and advisory decisions of the Scientific Committees within the scope of the Unit’s responsibilities.
• To monitor national and international scientific publications in the fields of quality and accreditation.
• To perform any other duties assigned by the Presidency of the Institute.
