Objection and Complaints Evaluation Board

Objections and Complaints Evaluation Board is formed to evaluate and finalize the objections or complaints made by healt institutions regarding the accreditation works and proccedures carried out by the Institute.

The members of the Board consist of five members who have experience in the field of quality and accreditation in health and are selected from among those who have at least a bachelor's degree education. The Chairman of the Board is elected by the President of the Institute.

Those who have an administrative and financial relationship with any health institution within the scope of accreditation, or who have firsdegree blood, affinity or marriage relations with the decision-makers of these institutions and organizations cannot be members of the Board.

The term of office of the members of the Board is two years. Members whose terms of office expire can be appointed for a maximum of  two more terms.

The secretariat and the decisions to be taken by the board are carried out by the Institute Secretariat.

The Chairman of the Board determines the agenda topics of the Board.

Those who do not attend the Boards meetings three or five times in a row for any reason other than the excuses accepted by the Board, and those who do not attentd more than half of the meetings held within a year, even if they have an excuse, will automatically lose their membership in the Board.

In the event That one of the Board membership becomes vacant for ant reason, the vacant membership is assigned upon the proposal ıf the Institute Presidnet and the approval of the President.

 

The meeting procedures and principles of the Board are as follows:

  • The Board holds a meeting decision upon the request of the President of the Institute, depending on the status of objections and complaints. Upon the written application of more than half of the Board members or upon the call of the Board Chairman an extrordinary meeting decision is held.
  • The meeting quorum of the Board is three. Decisions are taken by majority vote. Abstention votes cannot be used. In case of equal votes, the decisions is talen in the direction of the Chairman of the Board.

 

The duties and responsibilities of the Objection and Complaints Evaluation Board are as follows:

  • Evaluating all kinds of objections or complaints made by health institutions and concluding on the basis of concrete evidence.
  • When necessary, to request information,documents or opinions from the units to which the objection or complaint is concerned, and to evaluate them.
  • Establishing sub-boards and working groups if deemed necessary
  • Submitting reports on objectons and complaints to the Accreditation Executive Board
