About TUSKA
Türkiye Healthcare Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA) was established in 2015 within the Türkiye Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB) to carry out quality and accreditation activities in healthcare services. The foundation of TÜSKA is based on systematic quality improvement initiatives of the Health Transformation Program, initiated by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye in 2003, focusing on "Quality and Accreditation for Qualified and Effective Healthcare Services." TÜSKA, which emerged from twenty years of experience and accumulated knowledge, is the sole authorized institution for healthcare quality and accreditation in Türkiye.
TÜSKA operates as a non-profit public institution. It contributes to the continuous improvement of quality in healthcare institutions at both national and international levels and actively supports enhancing the quality of healthcare services globally.
TÜSKA is an institutional member of ISQua (The International Society for Quality in Healthcare), the sole global umbrella organization for quality and accreditation in healthcare services. TÜSKA's accreditation standards and surveyor training programs are accredited by ISQua. Thus, TÜSKA provides services using internationally recognized accredited standards, adhering to international norms.
TÜSKA operates based on principles of human-centeredness, impartiality, reliability, transparency, sustainability, respect for ethical and cultural values and beliefs, stakeholder engagement, and creating value.
TÜSKA's areas of activity include establishing quality and accreditation rules in cooperation with institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Health, higher education institutions, and the private sector; accrediting national and international healthcare institutions; and making mutual recognition agreements with international and regional accreditation associations and organizations, as well as with accreditation bodies in other countries.
Guided by the vision of being a leading organization ensuring quality in healthcare at both national and international levels, TÜSKA continuously develops accreditation programs and quality improvement systems, and supports scientific studies and research projects.
