TÜSKA Presented on “Standardization and Accreditation in Health Tourism” at YEKAS 2025 – 2nd Local Development Symposium in Bolu
Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University organized YEKAS 2025 – 2nd Local Development Symposium on 27–28 October 2025, focusing on “The Future of Bolu in the Axis of Sustainability.”
The symposium addressed Bolu’s current situation, potential, and sustainable policy recommendations for the future in various fields such as agriculture, industry, health, tourism, environment, education, law, urbanization, economy, finance, entrepreneurship, and gastronomy.
In the session titled “Local Development Dynamics,” Prof. Dr. Umut Beylik, Academic Member of TÜSEB – Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA), delivered a presentation titled “Standardization and Accreditation in Health Tourism.”
Prof. Dr. Beylik shared insights on health tourism, quality standards, and accreditation processes within the scope of Bolu’s development priorities, emphasizing the importance of leading in health tourism through accredited institutions.
He particularly highlighted that health tourism—especially in the areas of physical therapy and rehabilitation—can generate significant added value for both local development and the national economy.
Within the scope of YEKAS 2025, it was aimed to bring together academic knowledge, policy-makers’ experiences, and the perspectives of sector representatives on a common platform to foster new collaborations, develop joint projects, and strengthen regional development.
