TÜSKA Has Participated in the International Webinar Organised Within the Scope of World Patient Safety Day Goals
The first session of the webinar series titled “Safe Care for Every Newborn and Every Child – World Patient Safety Day Goals”, organised in line with the World Patient Safety Day goals, was held online on 6 February 2026. The event, organised under the theme “Engage Children, Parents and Families”, was attended by the Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA).
Within the scope of the webinar, the role of families and parents in strengthening safe care for newborns and children, family-centred care approaches, and the integration of patient safety goals into healthcare service delivery processes were discussed. Key topics highlighted in the programme included establishing effective communication with families, incorporating parents’ observations and concerns into care processes, and recognising the specific needs of children.
It is aimed that the global approaches and good practice examples shared during this international event, in which TÜSKA participated, will contribute to the quality improvement and patient safety activities carried out by the Institute. TÜSKA continues to closely follow patient safety policies based on child and family engagement and to reflect international developments in this field into national practices.
