TÜSKA Has Participated in the International Patient Safety Webinar

The Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA), operating under the Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB), participated in the international webinar themed “Advancing Patient Safety, Inspiring Global Change”, held on 28 August 2026.

Moderated by Dr. Hanny Ronosulistyo, the webinar addressed the translation of patient safety policies into practice under the session titled “From Policy to Practice: Turning the ISQua Patient Safety White Paper into Action.”

The webinar covered the ISQua Patient Safety White Paper, the integration of accreditation standards into daily practice, leadership and governance, healthcare worker education and safety, patient and family engagement, improvement of clinical processes, and the IMPLISAFE implementation toolkit. The webinar also addressed safety culture, risk reporting, checklists, data-driven monitoring, and continuous improvement.

In TÜSKA’s contribution to the webinar, the importance of active patient and family engagement in the care process, shared decision-making, continuity of care, and supporting patient experience through measurable criteria was emphasized. Regarding digital health and artificial intelligence applications, attention was drawn to the need to safeguard patient privacy and safety and to ensure that patients are adequately informed and involved in the process.

The webinar emphasized the importance of translating accreditation standards into daily practice to contribute to safe and sustainable care.
