An Accreditation Awareness Session Was Held at the Etlik City Hospital’s Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center
The Türkiye Healthcare Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA) organized an Accreditation Information Session on July 29, 30, and 31, 2026, at the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital of Ankara Etlik City Hospital, with the aim of improving quality and safety in health services.
The TÜSKA Accreditation Awareness Program was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sırrı Kotanoğlu, Coordinating Chief Physician at Ankara Etlik City Hospital; Specialist Dr. Dursun Ali Sağlam, Deputy Coordinating Chief Physician and Director of Quality Management; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cuma Uz, Chief Physician of the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital; managers from the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital; staff from the Quality Management Directorate, and healthcare professionals working at the hospital.
As part of the program, Health Accreditation Auditors Specialist Dr. Seval Akbaş, Specialist Erdoğan Şentürk, Melek Kamacı, and Dr. Fadik Çökelek conducted informational sessions and on-site evaluations regarding accreditation processes.
Throughout the information session, the fundamental principles of healthcare accreditation, quality management system practices in line with the Health Accreditation Standards (SAS), patient and employee safety, and the continuous improvement approach were addressed. The on-site assessments conducted as part of the program aimed to enhance participants’ awareness and competencies in implementing accreditation standards, while also contributing to the on-site evaluation of the institution’s current practices and the identification of areas for improvement.
It was assessed that the program made a significant contribution to strengthening the institution’s quality management system, improving its readiness for accreditation processes, and promoting a culture of quality in health services. It was stated that efforts to support sustainable improvement initiatives across the institution and to develop a quality-focused service approach in line with accreditation goals will be pursued with determination.
