TÜSKA Has Been Participated in an International Webinar on Patient-Centered Healthcare
The Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA) participated in the international webinar titled "Patient-Centered Healthcare in Taiwan: Experience & Insights," organized in collaboration with the Indonesian Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals (KARS), the Patient-Centered Care Institute (PCCI), and the Asian Society for Quality in Health Care (ASQua).
During the webinar, Prof. Dr. Pa-Chun Wang, Board Executive Member of the Joint Commission of Taiwan (JCT) and Vice Superintendent of Cathay General Hospital, shared Taiwan's experience and best practices in patient-centered healthcare.
The presentation covered a wide range of topics, including the National Health Insurance system, National Patient Safety Goals, Shared Decision-Making (SDM), AI-supported clinical decision-making, digital health applications, secure health data sharing, telemedicine, hospital-at-home services, integrated care for patients with multimorbidity, and end-of-life care.
Particular emphasis was placed on integrating patient-centered care with quality improvement and patient safety, leveraging digital transformation in healthcare, and utilizing artificial intelligence to support clinical decision-making. These innovative approaches attracted significant interest from participants.
The webinar provided a valuable platform for international knowledge exchange and enabled participants to explore best practices aimed at strengthening healthcare quality, patient safety, and patient-centered care.
