The “AI and Leadership in Health Systems” broadcast, organised within the framework of the World Health Leaders Network (WHLNet) broadcast series hosted by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), was held online on 18 December.

As a continuation of the session titled “When System Leadership Meets Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and a Way Forward”, previously discussed during ISQua’s pre-conference sessions, the broadcast addressed in a comprehensive manner how artificial intelligence is transforming the core dimensions of leadership in health systems.

Within the programme, discussions were conducted in parallel sessions structured around the following five main themes:

  • Accreditation and regulation: The role of artificial intelligence in strengthening standards, good governance, and external evaluation processes
  • Leading for safety and quality: The use of artificial intelligence by system leaders to enhance patient safety, resilience, and learning processes
  • Artificial intelligence, patients, and person-centred care: The impact of artificial intelligence on patient empowerment and shared responsibility in care
  • Developing future leaders: Preparing leaders to act effectively and responsibly in AI-enabled health systems
  • Global perspective: The global implications of artificial intelligence for healthcare services

The Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA) also participated in the broadcast and followed the discussions within the framework of international perspectives on quality, patient safety, and leadership in health systems.

TÜSKA will continue its active engagement in international meetings, networks, and cooperation activities aimed at monitoring international good practices, strengthening alignment with global health policies, and advancing quality and safety in healthcare services.
