TÜSKA: Ensuring Quality in Healthcare on World Quality Day
World Quality Day, celebrated on the second Thursday of November each year, aims to strengthen quality awareness in healthcare services, promote the provision of safe and effective services, and spread the concept of continuous improvement. World Quality Day is an important day that draws attention to the continuity of quality for the long-term success of organizations.
The Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA) regards quality in healthcare as an important opportunity to emphasize it as a national priority, a social value, and sustainability. TÜSKA considers quality not merely as a management tool, but as a holistic approach based on ethical values, human-centeredness, transparency, and scientific foundations.
Accredited by the International Society for Quality in Health Care External Evaluation Association (ISQua EEA), TÜSKA’s Health Accreditation Standards (SAS) and Surveyor Training Programme contribute to strengthening quality management systems and establishing a reliable national quality infrastructure. This system focuses on patient and employee safety, supports measurable improvement, and promotes the institutionalization of excellence in healthcare.
TÜSKA continues to contribute to Türkiye’s vision for quality in healthcare with the principle that “Quality in healthcare is not a one-day event, but a continuous responsibility.”
