TÜSKA Attended the Çukurova University Health Tourism Workshop
The Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA) participated in the Health Tourism Workshop, held on 25–26 September 2025 under the auspices of the Adana Governorship, and hosted by Çukurova University and the Adana Provincial Health Directorate.
TÜSKA President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bayram Demir, along with TÜSKA Academicians Prof. Dr. Umut Beylik and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Keziban Avcı, attended the workshop.
The workshop addressed topics such as standardisation and accreditation in the field of health tourism, international legislation and practices, patient safety, and the problems and proposed solutions of sector stakeholders.
In his presentation titled “Standardization and Accreditation in Health Tourism,” TÜSKA President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bayram Demir emphasized that the implementation of international standards and the strengthening of accreditation processes would enhance Türkiye’s credibility in the field of health tourism.
Within the scope of the workshop, TÜSKA representatives also had active roles in various sessions.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Keziban Avcı moderated the session on ‘Accreditation and Standardisation in Health Tourism,’ while Prof. Dr. Umut Beylik moderated the session on ‘Problems and Proposed Solutions for Health Tourism Units and Sector Stakeholders.
TÜSKA representatives also emphasised the importance of prioritizing patient safety in the field of health tourism and the integration of international best practices into the national health system.
