TÜSKA Accreditation Training and Assessment Activities at Spitali Rajonal Memorial Türkiye–Albania Fier Friendship Hospital Have Been Successfully Completed
The Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA) successfully completed the training, assessment, and on-site review activities carried out at Spitali Rajonal Memorial Türkiye–Albania Fier Friendship Hospital in Albania between 22–26 June 2026. The activities were conducted to strengthen the hospital’s quality management system and support its preparations for international accreditation.
As part of the programme:
• The hospital’s clinical, administrative, and support services were assessed on-site in line with the Health Accreditation Standards (SAS).
• Training sessions were delivered on quality management, patient and staff safety, risk management, document management, and accreditation preparation processes.
• Comprehensive evaluation meetings were held with hospital executives and relevant department managers to review the current situation, identify strengths, and determine areas for improvement.
• A strategic assessment report was prepared and formally presented to the hospital management to guide the accreditation preparation process.
During the closing meeting held on 26 June 2026, the activities carried out throughout the programme were reviewed, the hospital’s strengths and priority areas for improvement were discussed with the senior management, and a roadmap for strengthening the quality management system was presented.
The completed activities made a significant contribution to the hospital’s alignment with international quality standards while also reinforcing the shared commitment to further strengthening technical cooperation between Türkiye and Albania in the fields of healthcare quality and accreditation.
Through its international collaborations, TÜSKA continues to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience aimed at improving healthcare quality and patient safety, while contributing to the wider dissemination of the accreditation culture in healthcare.
The activities were carried out by TÜSKA Healthcare Accreditation Surveyors Dr. Cüneyt Yıldırıcı, M.Sc. Eng. Ahmet Aslancan, Pharmacist Ercan Koca, and Specialist Nurse Hatice Orman.
