The Third Day of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Quality Training Program Held
The third day of the Quality Training Program, which is the first activity aimed at establishing a quality and accreditation system in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and organized by TÜSKA, has been successfully completed.
The third day of the program, held on April 16, 2025, began with an opening speech by Dr. Dilek TARHAN, Manager of the Department of Health Quality, Accreditation and Employee Rights at the General Directorate of Health Services, on the topic of “Quality Practices and Leadership”
Following the opening speech, the first presentation of the training program was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tunçay PALTEKİ, focusing on “Risk Management in Hospitals” and “Disaster and Emergency Management” topics of great importance for patient and employee safety in healthcare facilities. Afterward, in a presentation titled “Patient Care,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatoş KORKMAZ highlighted key points related to the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient care one of the fundamental responsibilities of healthcare professionals.
Subsequently, a session on “Waste Management” in healthcare facilities was conducted by Hasan EVİRGEN. In the final part of the training, Pharmacist Ercan KOCA addressed the topic of “Medication Management and Safety,” followed by a presentation by Dr. Levent SONĞUR on “Material and Equipment Management.”
