The Second Meeting on the Development of the Health Confidence Index Was Held
The second meeting on the development of the Health Confidence Index, conducted in cooperation between the General Directorate of Health Promotion and the Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA), was held on 30 September 2025.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Çağrı Emin Şahin, Head of Department at the General Directorate of Health Promotion, Dr. Betül Zehra Pirdal, M.D.; Dr. Ayşegül Esin, M.D.; and Nurse Elif Demirkapı from the General Directorate of Health Promotion, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Keziban Avcı and R&D Specialist Şenol Demirci from TÜSKA.
The study aims to comprehensively assess the public’s confidence in health services, health professionals, health institutions, and the health system. Within this scope, the meeting addressed the dimensions of the concept of trust, measurement methods, international practices, and the potential indicator set specific to Türkiye.
The development of the Health Confidence Index will continue to cover the dimensions of health professionals, health institutions, and the health system, and the methodological framework will be prepared in alignment with the international literature.
