The Regulation on the Amendment of the Regulation on the Development and Evaluation of Quality in Health was published in the Official Gazette dated 26 May 2023 and numbered 32202 and entered into force. Paragraph 10 of the 5th article of the relevant regulation: “Health institutions and organizations that have obtained an accreditation certificate within the framework of internationally accredited standards prepared by the Ministry or related/affiliated institutions are exempted from quality assessments in health during the validity of the certificate. In this case, the quality score of the health institution and the institutional services and patient and employee safety score are accepted as one hundred points.”
In this respect, during the validity of the accreditation document, health facilities accredited by TÜSKA, which is the first and only national accreditation institution established and recognized by law in order to carry out accreditation activities in health services, with internationally accepted standards in the field of health and an auditor training programme in Türkiye, will be exempted from quality in health assessments conducted by Department for Quality in Health, Accreditation and Employee Rights, Directorate General for Health Services; and quality scores of such health facilities will be accepted as 100 points.
We wish that this important development will be beneficial to all institutions and organizations that have set their hearts on quality and accreditation in the field of health in our country and carry out work in this direction.
