The Eighth Session of the Online Training Program on Quality and Accreditation Held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
Within the scope of efforts to strengthen the quality management system in hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the eighth and final session of the online training program titled “Clinical Services and Outpatient Services” was held on May 5, 2026.
The training program was conducted by Prof. Dr. Mücahit Avcil, Member of the TÜSKA Accreditation Execution and Certification Board. Within the program, the practices to be implemented in healthcare facilities were discussed, and the contributions of standards to improving service quality across all processes related to healthcare delivery were evaluated in detail.
In the closing session of the training, which was attended by a total of 37 participants from different healthcare institutions, TÜSKA President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bayram Demir emphasized that the systematic implementation of standards-based practices in healthcare facilities would make significant contributions to enhancing the quality of healthcare services, improving practices, and establishing a sustainable quality culture. He also underlined the strong leadership and guiding role of the Ministry of Health of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the process, stating that these efforts not only improve existing practices but also support the institutional sustainability of quality-oriented transformation in healthcare services. He further noted that such training and development activities conducted under the coordination of the Ministry make important contributions to the widespread adoption of standards-based practices in healthcare facilities and the establishment of a common quality culture across the country.
