Regional Meeting on TÜSKA Accreditation for Public and Private Healthcare Facilities Has Been Held
On 14 February 2026, an informational meeting on TÜSKA Accreditation was held under the hosting of the Batman Provincial Health Directorate, with the participation of representatives from public and private healthcare facilities operating in the provinces of Batman, Diyarbakır, Mardin, and Siirt.
The meeting was attended by TÜSKA President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bayram Demir; Member of the TÜSKA Accreditation Executive and Certification Board (AYBK) and Advisor to the Minister of Health, Dr. Hasan Güler; the spouse of the Governor of Batman, Dr. Ayten Canalp; TÜSKA Quality Scientific Committee Member and Batman Provincial Health Director Dr. Murat Solmaz; as well as the Provincial Health Directors of Diyarbakır, Mardin, and Siirt, service heads, and managers of public and private healthcare facilities from these provinces.
Following the opening speech delivered by TÜSKA Quality Scientific Committee Member and Batman Provincial Health Director Dr. Murat Solmaz, presentations were delivered by TÜSKA President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Demir and AYBK Member MD Güler. The presentations addressed the legal framework of TÜSKA accreditation processes, application criteria, fees, accreditation categories, and the institutionalization of a quality culture.
Emphasis was placed on the contributions of accreditation to patient and staff safety and satisfaction, service standardization, risk management, and continuous improvement processes, and participants’ questions were answered.
At the conclusion of the program, plaques of appreciation were presented by Dr. Ayten Canalp to TÜSKA President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Demir and by Batman Provincial Health Director Dr. Murat Solmaz to AYBK Member MD Hasan Güler. The program concluded with a family photo session and expressions of goodwill.
