Global Approach to Patient-Centred Care: Humanising Healthcare Discussed at an International Webinar
TÜSKA participated in the international webinar organised on 29 May 2026 through the collaboration of the Hospital Accreditation Commission of Indonesia (KARS), the Patient-Centered Care Institute (PCCI), and the Asian Society for Quality in Health Care (ASQua). Held under the title “Person Centred Care in the World: Global Perspectives”, the webinar focused on the concept of person-centred care and the humanisation of healthcare services.
Dr. Peter Lachman, who took part in the webinar as a speaker, highlighted the importance of empathy, compassion, trust, co-production, and a human-centred approach in healthcare services.
During the presentation, it was emphasised that healthcare services are not limited to technical processes alone, and that patient experience, communication, cultural safety, and shared decision-making are fundamental components of quality care. In addition, topics such as burnout among healthcare professionals, fragmented healthcare systems, and the future of humanised care were also discussed.
