Global Approach to Patient-Centred Care: Humanising Healthcare Discussed at an International Webinar

The international webinar organised on 29 May 2026 in collaboration with the Indonesian Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals (KARS), the Patient-Centered Care Institute (PCCI), and the Asian Society for Quality in Health Care (ASQua) focused on patient-centred care and the humanisation of healthcare services.
During the webinar titled “Person Centred Care in the World: Global Perspectives”, Dr. Peter Lachman emphasised the importance of empathy, compassion, trust, co-production, and a human-centred approach in healthcare services.

The presentation highlighted that healthcare services are not limited to technical processes alone, and that patient experience, communication, cultural safety, and shared decision-making are fundamental components of quality care. In addition, topics such as burnout among healthcare professionals, fragmented healthcare systems, and the future of humanised care were discussed.

The webinar served as an important international knowledge-sharing platform for the exchange of global experiences related to patient-centred healthcare services.
