Accreditation Training Program Conducted at University of Health Sciences Gülhane Training and Research Hospital
Within the scope of the 2026 Ankara Health Tourism Technical Support Program of the Ankara Development Agency, the Institution-Based Practical Training Program, coordinated by the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate and conducted by the Türkiye Healthcare Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA), was held at University of Health Sciences Gülhane Training and Research Hospital on 1–3 July 2026.
The program, which aimed to strengthen quality, safety, and sustainability in healthcare services, was attended by Professor Hanefi Cem Gül, MD, Chief Physician; Dr. Burak Bozgan, Deputy Chief Physician; Dilek Gökçek, Director of Nursing Services; quality management unit staff, unit quality representatives, and healthcare professionals working at the hospital. The training was delivered by Healthcare Accreditation Surveyors Volkan Sozan, DDS; Şenay Tanrıöver, Kader Yalçın; and Dilek Mis.
The practice-oriented training program addressed all dimensions of healthcare services within the framework of accreditation standards. Through patient tracer and system tracer methodologies, participants had the opportunity to evaluate healthcare processes on-site and received comprehensive feedback on both strengths and areas requiring improvement. Delivered through an interactive approach, the training sessions also provided a platform for participants to ask questions, while experiences, best practices, and practical recommendations for enhancing quality-focused healthcare delivery were shared.
The accreditation training programs conducted by TÜSKA continue to contribute to strengthening the culture of quality in healthcare institutions, enhancing patient and employee safety, improving healthcare service processes in line with international standards, and increasing competitiveness in the field of health tourism.
