Accreditation Training Held Under the Protocol for the Medical Tourism Technical Support Project Between the Ankara Development Agency, the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate, and TÜSKA
As part of the Medical Tourism Technical Support Project, carried out in collaboration with the Ankara Development Agency, the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate, and the Türkiye Healthcare Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA), a theoretical training session on accreditation preparation was held on June 10, 11, and 12, hosted by the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate.
Healthcare professionals working at healthcare facilities affiliated with the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate participated in large numbers in the training, which was organized as part of the project aimed at enhancing international competitiveness in health tourism, improving service quality, and promoting a culture of accreditation. Throughout the program, numerous Health Accreditation Auditors served as trainers, and participants had the opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge about accreditation standards, their implementation, and on-site preparation processes.
During the training program, rather than limiting the focus to the transfer of theoretical knowledge, participants were provided with guidance by addressing accreditation standards and requirements to ensure that healthcare institutions can effectively prepare for accreditation processes. In addition, practical examples and experiences related to quality- and safety-focused service delivery were shared. This collaboration is regarded as an important step toward promoting a quality-focused transformation in health tourism.
The training program will continue with practical training sessions conducted at designated healthcare facilities using patient and system tracking methods. The accreditation preparation training programs organized by TÜSKA continue to make significant contributions to ensuring that healthcare services achieve a safe, high-quality, and sustainable structure.
