As part of the 2026 Ankara Health Tourism Technical Support Program of the Ankara Development Agency, the Institution-Based Practical Accreditation Training Program, coordinated by the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate and implemented by the Türkiye Healthcare Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA), was conducted at Beytepe Şehit Murat Erdi Eker State Hospital on 18–19 June 2026.

The program, which aimed to strengthen quality, safety, and sustainability in healthcare services, was attended by Dr. Abdulvahap Şahin, Chief Physician of Beytepe Şehit Murat Erdi Eker State Hospital; Specialist Dr. Türkan Bıçakçıoğlu, Deputy Chief Physician and Quality Management Officer; Dr. Alper Künkül, Deputy Chief Physician; Zeliha Ebru Elveren, Director of Nursing Services; Eyüp Teke, Administrative and Financial Affairs Manager; unit quality representatives; and healthcare professionals working at the hospital. Dr. Ali Çınar and Emine Yavuz, Healthcare Accreditation Surveyors, together with Şabu Karadağ from TÜSKA’s Quality Improvement, Project and Training Management Unit, served as trainers throughout the program.

The practice-oriented training addressed all aspects of healthcare service delivery within the framework of healthcare accreditation standards. Participants had the opportunity to evaluate hospital processes on site through the application of patient tracer and system tracer methodologies, while receiving comprehensive feedback on both the strengths of current practices and areas requiring further improvement. Conducted in an interactive format, the training also provided opportunities for participants to discuss their questions, while trainers shared practical experience, examples of good practices, and solution-oriented approaches to support the delivery of quality-focused healthcare services.

The accreditation training programs implemented by TÜSKA continue to contribute to strengthening the culture of quality in healthcare institutions, enhancing patient and staff safety, improving healthcare service processes in line with international standards, and increasing competitiveness in the field of health tourism.
