TÜSKA Accreditation Information Meeting Has Been Held in İzmir

An Accreditation Information Meeting for Healthcare Facilities was organized by the Turkish Institute for Health Services Quality and Accreditation (TÜSKA) on 27 July 2026 at the Conference Hall of İzmir City Hospital, under the coordination of the İzmir Provincial Directorate of Health and hosted by İzmir City Hospital. The meeting was attended by TÜSKA President Assoc. Prof. Bayram Demir and TÜSKA officials, with strong participation from representatives of public and private healthcare facilities across İzmir and neighboring provinces.

The opening remarks were delivered by Prof. Dr. Yaprak Üstün, Chief Physician of İzmir City Hospital, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Ömer Faruk Altaş, Acting Provincial Director of Health of İzmir, and Assoc. Prof. Bayram Demir, President of TÜSKA.

During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Bayram Demir provided participants with comprehensive information on the legal framework of TÜSKA accreditation, accreditation standards, accreditation programmes and processes, as well as TÜSKA’s position in the international accreditation landscape.

The final session of the programme was dedicated to questions, comments, and feedback from participants. These were addressed by Assoc. Prof. Bayram Demir, President of TÜSKA, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Ömer Faruk Altaş, Acting Provincial Director of Health of İzmir, and Prof. Dr. Umut Beylik, TÜSKA Academic.

We are pleased with the strong interest shown by both public and private healthcare facilities in the meeting held in İzmir. TÜSKA will continue to organize regional on-site information meetings across the country to engage with stakeholders, provide up-to-date information on accreditation, and receive valuable feedback.
