An Accreditation Webinar for Private Healthcare Facilities Has Been Organized by the Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA)

Pursuant to the Regulation on Private Hospitals published in the Official Gazette dated 30 January 2025 and numbered 32798, and the Regulation on Private Healthcare Institutions Providing Outpatient Diagnosis and Treatment published in the Official Gazette dated 19 April 2025 and numbered 32875, private healthcare facilities are required to obtain an accreditation certificate issued by the Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA) within a maximum period of three years.Furthermore, under the Regulation on International Health Tourism and Tourist Health published in the Official Gazette dated 26 April 2025 and numbered 32882, public, private, and university healthcare facilities are required to obtain TÜSKA accreditation by 31 December 2026.

These regulations aim to enhance quality standards in healthcare services, improve patient safety, and strengthen institutional sustainability. In this context, in cooperation with the Private Hospitals Platform Association, TÜSKA organized an informational and training webinar on 16 February 2026 via Zoom to inform private healthcare facilities about the accreditation process.

The program, conducted in two sessions, commenced with opening remarks by Dr. Ömer Yavuz Namlı, President of the Private Hospitals Platform Association. The webinar was moderated by Dr. Ayhan Kalyoncu. On behalf of TÜSKA, Assoc. Prof. Bayram Demir, President of the Institute, TÜSKA Academicians Prof. Umut Beylik and Assoc. Prof. Keziban Avcı, as well as TÜSKA unit managers, participated in the program to provide information to stakeholders.

A total of 120 participants attended the first session dedicated to outpatient diagnosis and treatment centers, while 323 representatives attended the second session for private hospitals. The webinar was held between 10:30–12:30 and 14:00–16:00.During the program, up-to-date legislative provisions, accreditation standards, and implementation principles were shared with participants. Questions raised by participants were addressed by the officials during the sessions.
