TÜSKA Accreditation Training Held at Yenimahalle Training and Research Hospital
As part of the Ankara Development Agency’s 2026 Ankara Health Tourism Technical Support Program, coordinated by the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate and implemented by the Türkiye Healthcare Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA) , the Institution-Based Practical Training Program was held at Yenimahalle Training and Research Hospital on June 15, 16, and 17, 2026.
The program, which aims to strengthen quality, safety, and sustainability in healthcare services, began with an opening address by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Ömer Yıldız, Chief of Yenimahalle Training and Research Hospital. The program was attended by Dr. Hasan Arslanoğlu, Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Yenimahalle Training and Research Hospital; Savaş Atakul, Director of Administrative and Financial Services; Arzu Yalçın, Director of Healthcare Services; and numerous healthcare professionals working in the clinics. ssociate Professor Dr. Alper Yavuz and Esra İnan, both healthcare accreditation auditors, served as instructors during the training sessions.
In this practice-based program, all aspects of healthcare services were addressed within the framework of accreditation standards. Participants had the opportunity to evaluate processes on-site using patient-trajectory and system-trajectory tracking methods, while receiving comprehensive feedback on the strengths of current practices and areas for improvement. During the training sessions, which were conducted using an interactive approach, healthcare professionals’ questions were answered, and experiences, best practices, and proposed solutions aimed at improving quality-focused service delivery were shared.
The program concluded following the completion of on-site evaluations and the conduct of general assessments.
The accreditation training programs conducted by TÜSKA continue to contribute to strengthening the culture of quality in healthcare institutions, enhancing patient and staff safety, developing service processes in line with international standards, and boosting competitiveness in medical tourism.
