Accreditation, which is an important tool for evaluating the compliance of healthcare organizations with internationally recognized standards, guides the provision of quality and safe healthcare services.

The Türkiye Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB) - Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA), which has adopted the mission of adding value to health, is responsible for conducting accreditation activities related to health services in our country. TÜSKA aims to enhance the quality and safety of health services. In this context, the competence of Health Accreditation Surveyors, who play a key role in the objective and impartial evaluation of the effectiveness of accreditation processes, is of great importance. The Basic Training Program for Health Accreditation Surveyor Candidates organized by TÜSKA is accredited by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), the only international umbrella organization that accredits international accreditation bodies. This program aims to equip surveyors with knowledge and skills in accordance with international standards.

The theoretical part of the TÜSKA Health Accreditation Surveyor Candidate Basic Training Program was held from May 26 to May 30, 2025. In the opening speech, TÜSKA President Assoc. Dr. Bayram DEMİR stated that accreditation has been implemented as an important tool in the health system in Türkiye, emphasizing the significant importance of the surveyor capacity in health accreditation. In his speech, Health Minister Advisor Dr. Hasan GÜLER shared insights about the quality and accreditation journey in our country. During the program, Assoc. Dr. Muhammed ATAK, General Director of Health Improvement at the Ministry of Health, delivered a presentation on a strategic approach to inspection barriers.

Surveyor candidates from all over Türkiye, selected from applications that met the criteria set by TÜSKA, participated in the training program, which lasted for five days and involved 35 expert trainers in their respective fields. The training program covered various topics, including quality and accreditation in healthcare, TÜSKA Health Accreditation Standards, the qualifications of Health Accreditation Surveyors, and the survey methodology.
