Capacity Building Training Program for Health Accreditation Surveyors and Surveyor Candidates Has Been Conducted by TÜSKA
The “Capacity Building Training Program for Health Accreditation Surveyors and Surveyor Candidates”, organized by the Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA) for health accreditation auditors and surveyor candidates, was conducted between 01–03 December 2025.
The program began with the opening speech of TÜSKA President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bayram DEMİR. In the opening, the critical role of accreditation in terms of quality and patient safety in healthcare services was emphasized, and the contribution of the continuous development of surveyors to the national health system was evaluated. In addition, within the scope of TÜSKA’s new legislative regulations, detailed information was provided and the details of the Accreditation Categorization System were shared. In the speech delivered by the Member of the Accreditation Executive and Certification Board Dr. Hasan GÜLER, evaluations were made regarding the past, present and future of Türkiye’s quality and accreditation journey. Director General of Public Hospitals Dr. Hakan USTA also mentioned the importance of quality and accreditation studies in our health system and emphasized the importance of the role of surveyors in the system.
In the “Fish Bowl” sessions, which constituted an important part of the training process, situations encountered in audit processes were addressed through case examples; evidence gathering, decision-making and reporting processes were discussed in a practical manner. Participants had the opportunity to share their experiences and develop their professional perspectives under the guidance of expert academics in their fields.
At the end of the training program, in line with the feedback obtained, evaluations were made to guide future training activities, and it was emphasized that efforts for the continuous development of auditor capacity would be maintained with determination. TÜSKA continues to contribute to the dissemination of a quality and safety culture in the national healthcare system through the training activities that it conducts.
