Accreditation Training Has Been Conducted at Dokuz Eylül University Research and Application Hospital

An Accreditation Training has been conducted by the Türkiye Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA) at Dokuz Eylül University Research and Application Hospital between 22–24 December 2025, with the aim of enhancing quality and safety in healthcare services.

As part of TÜSKA’s on-site accreditation training programs for healthcare institutions, the next stop was Dokuz Eylül University Research and Application Hospital. The TÜSKA Accreditation Institution-Based Practical Training Program was attended by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Birhan Yılmaz, Vice Rector of Dokuz Eylül University; Dr. Lecturer Özlem Yener, Deputy Chief Physician of Dokuz Eylül University Research and Application Hospital; hospital management, quality unit staff, and healthcare professionals working in clinical units. The training was delivered by Healthcare Accreditation Surveyors Prof. Dr. Gülcan Coşkun Akar, Birgül Çelebi Yavaş, Specialist Dr. Damla Kayalp, and Specialist Pharmacist Canan Ergüner Özdemir.

During the training process, the hospital’s operational practices were comprehensively reviewed within the framework of accreditation standards, and guiding information was provided to participants.

In the interactive training sessions, the level of compliance with accreditation standards was addressed through practical applications using patient and system tracer methodologies.

Accreditation trainings organized by TÜSKA continue to make significant contributions to ensuring that healthcare services achieve a safe, high-quality, and sustainable structure.
