Accreditation for Private Hospitals Opens the Doors to a New Era

Accreditation ensures that healthcare institutions provide reliable and effective healthcare services by evaluating their compliance with established standards.

TÜSKA is the national and local institution responsible for managing healthcare accreditation processes in Türkiye. TÜSKA’s healthcare accreditation standards and surveyor training program have been accredited by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), the only global umbrella organization that accredits healthcare accreditation bodies worldwide. This accreditation demonstrates that TÜSKA’s processes and standards are internationally recognized and globally valid. Consequently, healthcare institutions in Türkiye gain a competitive advantage and align with international standards through TÜSKA accreditation.

The Private Hospitals Regulation, published in the Official Gazette on January 30, 2025, marks a significant milestone in the provision of healthcare services in Türkiye. According to Article 8 of Section 2 of the regulation, all existing private hospitals must obtain an accreditation certificate from TÜSKA within three years. This new regulation is a crucial step toward enhancing patient and employee safety, improving service quality, increasing patient satisfaction, and strengthening Türkiye’s international competitiveness by maximizing the potential of health tourism.

As TÜSKA, we are committed to elevating quality standards in healthcare services, ensuring the highest level of patient safety, and achieving continuous improvements. This new regulation encourages healthcare institutions to comply with international standards while reinforcing a patient-centered approach.

We will continue to work diligently and decisively to provide the highest level of support for private hospitals throughout their accreditation processes.
