The Third Online Training on Quality and Accreditation Has Been Held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
Within the scope of efforts carried out to strengthen the quality management system in hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the third session of the online training program titled “Standards for Biochemistry, Microbiology and Pathology Laboratory Services” was held on 12 March 2026.
The training program was conducted by Dr. Mehmet Oldacay, MD, Member of the Türkiye Healthcare Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA) Objection and Complaints Evaluation Committee. During the program, the practices that should be implemented in healthcare facilities within the framework of laboratory service standards were discussed. The contributions of these standards to patient safety, the establishment of a healthy laboratory working environment for staff, and the improvement of service quality across all processes related to laboratory services in healthcare facilities were also comprehensively evaluated.
A total of 47 participants from various healthcare institutions attended the event. It was emphasized that the systematic implementation of standards-based practices in healthcare facilities would make a significant contribution to improving the overall quality of healthcare services, advancing safe laboratory practices, and establishing a sustainable culture of quality.
