Health Accreditation Talks Between Türkiye and Kazakhstan: Comprehensive Briefing from TÜSKA

As part of the visit of representatives from the Salidat Kairbekova National Scientific Center for Health Development, affiliated with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a meeting was held on April 1, 2026, at the Aziz Sancar Research Center (ASAM), hosted by the Presidency of The Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB).

During the meeting, Türkiye’s experience in healthcare quality and accreditation, along with the national and international accreditation processes carried out by the Türkiye Healthcare Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA), were discussed in detail. In the presentation delivered by Head of TÜSKA Assoc. Prof. Bayram Demir, key topics included a patient safety–focused accreditation approach, Türkiye’s strong regulatory framework and inspection models, as well as TÜSKA’s international activities and cooperation potential.

The Kazakh delegation was represented by senior directors led by Chair of the Board Gulnara Utepergenovna Kulkaeva. On the Turkish side, TÜSEB Secretary General Professor Ateş Kara, MD, Head of TÜSKA Assoc. Prof. Bayram Demir, TÜSEB Head of International Relations Department Fatih Karademir, and TÜSKA Academician Prof. Dr. Umut Beylik took part in the meeting and shared the vision for cooperation between the two countries.

Throughout the meeting, Head of TÜSKA Assoc. Prof. Bayram Demir responded to the Kazakh delegation’s questions regarding accreditation processes and emphasized the importance of sharing Türkiye’s expertise with Kazakhstan as a friendly and brotherly country.

This visit is expected to further strengthen TÜSKA’s leading role in health diplomacy among Turkic Republics.
